It can’t be done

There will be times when we feel that we lack the knowledge and expertise to reach a certain task or complete a certain goal. It may be tempting to take the easy way out and accept the fact that “it can’t be done”, but know that some of the best engineers, founders, and scientists reject this statement. They remove self-doubt and focus on how to solve the problem.

Learn to say “I can”. Over time you’ll begin to believe that you can do anything if you set your mind to it.

I don’t know how

If you don’t know how, then ask help from someone who can– or better yet, learn it yourself! In this day, knowledge is available everywhere–the library, newspapers, television, and best of all the internet! Learning is a lifelong process, and everyone starts with “I don’t know how”. I don’t have enough time

Instead of saying “I don’t have time”, say “I need to make time.” If it sounds really impossible try hiring someone to help you manage your workload. Get a personal assistant to fix your schedule and do tasks that are easy to delegate. If there’s a will, there’s a way.

I don’t have time to learn

Everyone has time to learn! The most successful minds in engineering love to learn. They crave knowledge no matter how small it is. With technology nowadays, it’s easy to ingest small pieces of knowledge in 30 minute breaks! Read good articles on your smartphones on breaks or listen to audio books on the ride to work.

If I had more funding, I’d be successful too

I’m sure you know that there are a lot of startups and companies that didn’t let finances hinder them from being successful. Remember Apple and Google? They started by setting up their first offices in their garage.
