Introducing the Omnidirectional Conveyor Belt for Manufacturing

This special conveyor belt is not like the others.

Omnidirectional Conveyor Belt

This is one badass Omnidirectional Conveyor Belt for FMCG manufacturing and logistics industry.

I’m sure most of us have already seen a conveyor belts, and one of its features that easily defines them is that they move in one direction. Well, this special conveyor belt is different—it moves in any direction.

Intralox, a company from New Orleans has developed an omnidirectional conveyor and they call it the Activated Roller Belt (ARB). It was founded in 1970, when JM Lapeyr got a patent for a modular plastic conveyor belt which doesn’t rust—which is a great advantage for food factories.

By having an omnidirectional conveyor, it cut packaging time in manufacturing companies, as well as sorting moving products down into custom rows and sizes while making sure sensitive packages don’t get damaged. This tech only needs one drive and few actuators to work.

This may not be the only omnidirectional conveyor belt in the industry, nevertheless they are still amazing to watch.
