Which Buildings in Dubai Are the Most Instragrammed?

Have you taken pictures of these landmarks when you passed by Dubai?

It is a normal habit for travelers and even locals to take pictures of beautiful sceneries and majestic skylines, among others, and post them on Instagram.

In Dubai, where almost every corner has towering buildings, lots of pictures are uploaded daily about the wonderful skyscrapers in the city over the social media site.

But one could not help but wonder: which spots are the most Instagrammed around Dubai?

Arabian Construction Company has the answer to this by compiling a list of all the buildings in Dubai which have the most hashtags since that feature came into being in 2011. Its purpose is to determine which buildings have the most appeal to the users of the app and to say that the company has built some of the buildings in the list.

Leading the list by a huge margin is the tallest building in the world, the 828-meter Burj Khalifa. It has over 1.5 million posts. This was followed by Burj Al Arab, with building height of 321 meters, at second place having 70,400 Instagram posts.

It’s no wonder that the tallest buildings in the area are the most Instagrammable because Dubai is known for its skyscrapers.

In 2015, more than 14 million tourists visited Dubai. The city hopes that this number will grow to 20 million a year by 2020.

The 306-meter tall Cayan Tower took the third spot with 12,817 posts, while the highest residential building in the world, the Princess Tower got fourth having 6,503 hashtags.

Meanwhile, the 68-storey Almas Tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers landed fifth for the 2,769 posts. Ocean Heights in Dubai Marina secured the sixth spot with 1,168 hashtags.

Completing the top ten is Rolex Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road (966), marina’s Elite Residence (803), Vision Tower in Business Bay (642), and Sulafa Tower (594).

Kay Marsh, communications manager for ACC, said, “Arabian Construction Company is proud to have constructed some of the most iconic buildings in the UAE, and we’re very happy to see that the residents of Dubai are enjoying the unique architecture of their city and sharing it with the world.” She was referring to Princess Tower, Almas Tower, and Elite Residence.
