Two Smartphones: the Pixel and Pixel XL

For the first time, Google has produced their own smartphones. The Pixel boasts of a 5” screen with the XL’s only 0.5” bigger. The internals of both are essentially the same, running on the latest version of Android which is Nougat. The tech giant claims they have the best cameras ever put in a smartphone. The Pixel has a $649 price tag, which can be bought unlocked from Google or via Verizon.

Daydream View, the newest VR headset

Google also stepped up with their VR, launching their own VR headset called Daydream View. It lets you slot in the Pixel and future Android phones. The distinct thing about this headset is that it has a soft fabric covering, to pair with the remote having motion-control sensors to navigate menus and play games. Price starts at $79 for a piece of Daydream View, which goes on sale in November.

The improved Chromecast called the Chromecast Ultra

If you want to play 4K video, this is the Chromecast for you. The Chromecast Ultra has better Wi-Fi connection and faster performance in all. It costs $69 which will be commercially available in November.

Amazon has Echo while Google has Home. The $129-Google Home is a connected speaker that works with a Google’s new Assistant. It is voice-enabled to control your music, video, search queries, and smart appliances. It will be on sale come November.

A Wi-FI router called the Google Wifi

All your struggles about your Wi-Fi service will be solved if you just get Google’s newest offering called the Google Wifi. It is easy to use starting from setup through a companion app. Google Wifi has a control feature on to who can connect to the Internet and when. For only $129 a piece, or a special price of $299 for three, it allows you to create a mesh network throughout your home when you add additional routers where the connection is weak to boost the signal.

Google Assistant, your new AI helper

Google Assistant joins the ranks of Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, and Microsoft’s Cortana as digital helpers. It can be used on Google’s new hardware products, with more applications later on more Android devices and Google apps. It’s just like the rest except for one thing: it has Google’s vast “Knowledge Graph” that has incomparable amounts of data.
