This 10-Second Automatic Toothbrush Is The Future of Dental Care

It takes only 10 seconds to clean your teeth, and it’s hands-free!

How long does it take you to brush your teeth in the morning? I’m guessing around 1-3 minutes per brushing period on average. Well, a startup just created a toothbrush that needs only 10 seconds to clean your teeth which helps people save hours every year. What’s more awesome about this invention is that it’s automatic and hands-free! They call it the Amabrush.

At first glance, Amabrush looks like a mouth guard. The users would place it in their mouths, align it on their teeth and press a button. The automatic toothbrush will then dispense toothpaste and vibrates for 10 seconds which is sufficient time to clean every tooth according to the inventors.

According to the makers on their Kickstarter page, “Even in this 10 seconds, every tooth surface is cleaned longer compared with common toothbrushes. If you brush your teeth for the recommended 120 seconds with a regular toothbrush, every surface gets brushed for just 1.25 seconds. Amabrush brushes all your surfaces for the whole 10 seconds.”

When the makers launched Amabrush on Kickstarter, their product was able to raise €174,789 (199345.98 USD) within days! That’s way more than the  €50,000 (57024.75 USD) that they asked for. The crowdfunding campaign will end in August 5, and the inventors plan to ship the products to their patrons in October as part of their pilot test.

The basic Amabrush costs €69 (78.69 USD) while the Pro version that can wirelessly charge costs €199 (226.96 USD), or €99 (112.91 USD) if you purchase it from their Kickstarter page.

Amabrush’s mouthpiece is attached to the gadget by a magnet, and needs to be replaced every three to six months–just like regular toothbrushes. Since the mouthpiece is detachable from the toothpaste and power pack you, one Amabrush can be shared with multiple people.
