Christmas is all about giving and sharing. It also has a subliminal message of buying extravagant gifts to loved ones just to prove that you love them. Hey, I love Christmas but you have to admit companies take advantage of the season.

For tech companies, it’s a season when people can buy more for their families which would be great for sales! Given the Christmas bonus and the pressure to buy stuff for family and friends, companies all over the world will use the season of “giving” as an excuse to inform people that their products are the best gifts to give this season.

But how exactly do they do this? Through their Christmas advertisements, of course. It’s a sure fire way of telling people, “We want you to have the best Christmas ever and by buying our products, people will love you more.” Or “It’s been a rough year for you, go ahead and reward yourself for surviving. Buy our products as gifts for yourself.” They really wouldn’t be directly telling you this but through creative artistry and the right story for the commercial, these companies will surely have you lining up at their stores one of these days.

Christmas is an exciting time for engineers and other people alike. But for engineers, we always look forward to buying the latest gadgets. So tech companies will always find a way to subconsciously tell us that their products are better than the others. By choosing the right story to tell and the right products to promote, they’ve mastered the art of advertising.
